January 20, 2026

I’ve been quietly working on something for the last couple of years, and I’m really happy to finally be able to share it with you.

My new book, Trust at First Sight, launches on the 28th of this month.

This book came from many conversations over the years with people who are great at what they do, but who struggle to be seen, trusted, or chosen, especially online. People who know they’re good at their work, but don’t always feel confident showing up, being visible, or putting themselves out there.

Why I wrote this book

We make decisions about people (and businesses) very quickly. Often, before they’ve spoken. Before we’ve read their words. Before we’ve met them.

Yet no one really teaches us how trust is built at first glance, or how much our photos, visual presence, and consistency play a role in that, or how important it is when trying to stand out in a crowded market.

This book brings together what I’ve learned through photography, branding, and working with professionals across different industries, and explains it in a practical, down-to-earth way.

Who this book is for

  • Business owners and professionals

  • Veterinary professionals

  • Creatives and service providers

  • Anyone who needs to show up online but doesn’t feel confident doing so

  • People who want their brand and photos to feel genuine, not forced

  • Those who want to understand the basics so they can play a bigger part when teaming up with a professional like myself

What you’ll take away

  • A clearer understanding of how trust is formed visually

  • Why “trying to look professional” often works against you

  • How to show up confidently without pretending to be someone you’re not

  • Simple ways to align how you feel with how you’re perceived

  • Actionable steps to learn from

A small sneak peek

One of the key ideas in my book is:

People don’t trust perfection. They trust what feels familiar and real.

You don’t need to change who you are to build trust. You need to understand how to communicate it more clearly.

What one of my beta readers said

Joanne brings her expertise and passion for the veterinary industry into an easy-to-follow and productive guide. She effortlessly taps into the core of care-sector marketing. Her strategy flows seamlessly from one chapter to the next, providing valuable insights and action steps to keep your online presence consistent and meaningful.” - Dayle Dotan-Love

Launch details

My book officially launches on the 28th January 2026.

For the first 24 hours (00:00 to 23:59 GMT), it will be:

I’d love to see how far we can take this book on launch day (goal is to reach #1), and every purchase during that first day helps get it in front of more people it can help. Please share this with your contacts so we can get more eyes on my book.

How to get your copy

You’ll be able to buy Trust at First Sight:

  • On Amazon (paperback, hardcover, and Kindle) (I can send a signed sticker to add to your book if you wish)

  • Signed copy directly from me if you’re based in the UK

👉 Call to action: Purchase your copy on the 28th and email your proof of purchase to me at [email protected] to receive the bonuses.

I’m also working on an accompanying workbook, which will be released very soon for those who want to put everything into practice step by step.

Note, while this book is written especially for those in the veterinary industry, it is still incredibly useful to those in other industries, as the content is universal.

Thank you for being here and for supporting my work. I really appreciate it.

Warmly,

Joanne

PS: Launch day really does matter. If you’re planning to buy the book anyway, purchasing on the 28th helps more than you might realise, and it’s the only day the discount and bonuses apply.

EXTENDED BONUS OFFER: If you purchase the book (and optionally the workbook) and later decide you’d like to enrol in any of our coaching programs, join the upcoming self-study course (via the waitlist), or move into an annual photo retainer, you can upgrade within one month of purchase. Simply provide proof of purchase, and the value of the book/workbook will be credited against the program price.
